Even in the midst of my #ProjectHitPan experiment (I bought these prior to the spending freeze I promise), I still have ridiculous status in the rewards programs at both Sephora and Ulta. I guess some people buy video games, movies, or figurines – I collect makeup. Despite how much I seem to spend, I still like to get the best bang for my buck. While standing in an aisle in Ulta the other day, I wondered if their eyeshadow was any better than Sephora’s. A showdown was needed. This multiuse product is often used to subtly cover up blemishes and brighten dark circles, both things I want to do. I zeroed in on formulas that wouldn’t require a brush (with a few notable exceptions) and aimed for made-for-men varieties when I could. I focused on a few things: longevity of wear, amount of coverage, and what type of problem area I was trying to cover up. I quickly learned that while concealer is an ideal makeup product for any guy, it isn’t always easy to use. After extensive trials (and errors), I found a few standouts that worked for me. My favorites below — all of which come in multiple shades, depending on your skin tone. LUMINOUS SILK CONCEALER This type of concealer is similar to the stick concealer because it offers heavy coverage. However, you need to apply it with a brush because it can look heavy due to the intense pigmentation.
